Oren Levine is an accomplished jazz pianist and composer from Washington, DC. He performs frequently in the Washington, DC area, appearing regularly at the Black Fox Lounge in Dupont Circle. He has also played at notable DC restaurants including Sequoia and the Tabard Inn.
Oren moved to DC in 2010 from the Boston area, where he was active in the local jazz scene, performing with Valerie Stephens, Semenya McCord, Kaoruko Pilkington, Beth Logan, Tim Ingles, Dmitry Ishenko, Jon Dreyer, and others. Oren’s playing is influenced by Wynton Kelly, Bill Evans, Kenny Barron, and other contemporary piano masters. He has developed his skills as a performer and accompanist through private study with Harry Appelman, Frank Wilkins, and Boston legend Harvey Diamond. As a regular participant in the Vermont Jazz Center summer workshop, he studied piano and theory with Eugene Uman and Ray Gallon.
